African Blackwood Santoku
This chef knife was hand forged from a piece of 1.25” round W1 tool steel. The blade was thinned out to just under 1/8” at the spine, widened to 2.25” at the heel, and lengthened to 6.25” long. The handle was shaped from a piece of African Blackwood, and is just around 1/2” thick giving the blade a very light and nimble feel. The bolster and spine are mirror polished, adding nice contrast to an already sleek yet refined blade. Also included is a custom fit sleeve hand stitched from 8/9oz Hermann Oak leather.
